The destruction of riparian areas in this country is one of the most serious threats to the environment that we face today. <br />This egregious lack of foresight on the part of Exxon, even in the face of studies that questioned the stability of this pipeline, needs to be addressed by strong criminal penalties, including jail time for corporate CEOs who now consider fines by the EPA as just another cost of doing business.
