Another Tanker spills 7,000 gallons of fuel into Denver watershed

Here We Go Again

A tanker truck diverted by a road closure crashed last Thursday morning near the town of Jefferson in Park County, spilling an estimated 7,000 gallons of gas and diesel near creeks that flow into Denver's watershed. Park County and Colorado State Patrol crews raced to contain the toxic spill by building a berm.

Denver Water officials were monitoring the damage in a fragile wetlands area known for fine fishing. This happens way too often it seems here in Colorado. Not to thrilled to keep reading about this crap in the news each month!
