The Flyfisher Angling University is a program that assist new anglers to the sport, fisherman that have the skills but may need to tweak a specific areas or if someone needs to learn something new in the world of fly fishing; these are the guys to call! I met Ethan Emery, the director of Angling U, awhile back through our friend Tucker Ladd of Trout's and soon learned that Ethan is a well versed fly fisherman. Many fly fisherman I know, can fish but may not know a few areas to help catch more fish or to help with casting imperfections. Though I haven't used his services I have heard from others about how good they are and how much they improved their fishing. A few of their Classes:

“Introduction to Fly Fishing” “Learn to Fly Fish in One Day” “Fly Fishing Skills and Techniques” “Colorado Nymph Fishing” “Free Casting Clinics” Entomology 101 “Trout Food – Stream and Still Water” “Fly Tying for Beginners” “Intermediate Fly Tying” “Advanced Fly Tying” Rod Building 101 “Introduction to Rod Building”

Brian Yamauchi...Innovative Fly Tyer and Photographer!

When you think of an amazing Fly Tyer, Brian is the man!

Most who view his flies always ask "Is that an actual fly or an imitation?" translation, You can't tell the difference! Brian can be found most weekends at many fly tying events in the region such as the Denver fly fishing show, Peak tying event, the popular west denver TU tying clinic and many more. How good are his flies? Well I borrowed a few for our last Delaney Buttes trip and caught a majority of my fish and the biggest on his Chironomid patterns! Can't wait to get back out on the water with you and Kudos for your fly being featured in Flyfisherman Magazine this month also.

Brian is also known for his photography

After a long conversation last week with Brian and Mark Lance, another well known photographer; we were discussing some Photo tips and how their work is so impressive. This was at a Brian o'keefe presentation so one can always learn something watching him as well. Can't wait to see more pictures and flies from you come Spring when we head out fishing!

Here is a Link to his website with some great shots!

Brian also has DVD's out on the market for tying many popular flies so feel free to check those out as well, I know I have!!

Shoutout Fishing Sites Week! Fishing Buds Websites

This week is dedicated to some Top Fishing Sites by my Protege's!!!!!

To start the week what better person to showcase than an up and coming Videographer that has the experience, the travels and fishing background to list as a site to checkout!

Nick Clement with Reelescape Films has a great site and has a few more travels to go before he has an awesome video full of some outstanding worldwide adventures. Can't wait to see your recent Redfish pics from your latest trip!

Also checkout his Blog that includes the Colorado Division of Wildlife fish films, it's full of Fall spawning fish underwater. One last thing which is a must to see is to check out the latest Fly Fishing Colorado video that he also helped with! Fly fishers dreaming of the days ahead on Colorado lakes and streams can amplify their visions by immersing themselves in “Fly Fishing Colorado”, a new feature-length DVD from the Colorado Division of Wildlife (DOW).
