Destin Florida Countdown!

T Minus 2 Weeks In Counting!

I'm finally Saltwater bound in a few weeks and can't wait. First Destin, Fl than Mexico....ahh yeah!! Trying to sneak in a few sweet days of fishing and hopefully enjoy some nice weather as well.

For those of you who may not have experienced the Panhandle of Florida, it is worth checking out. I grew up down that way and can honestly tell you that not only is it gorgeous white sand beaches with clear green water, but also a fishermans paradise.

Sorry I need to start packing now but will keep you posted the next few weeks!

Jose Wejebe Will Be Missed RIP My Friend

TightLines Jose

Most of you may or may have not heard about the recent tragedy of Jose Wejebe. Jose is someone that I have kept up with since I was in college. Each Saturday I would eagerly wake up to Flip Pallot's Walkers Cay Chronicle and Jose Wejebe's Spanish Fly TV shows.

To this day I still eagerly awake on Weekends to the exact shows with much anticipation. This past weekend we lost not only a true fly fishing legend in the sport, but also a family man, local hero and TV personality.

From the family of Jose Wejebe and Spanish Fly, we are deeply saddened by the tragic event and loss of a father, son, friend, and bro.

We would like to invite all family and friends to a Celebration of Life in honor of Jose Wejebe, Sunday April 15, 2012 at 1:30 PM at the International Game Fish Association Museum (IGFA) in Dania, Beach Florida. All those who were touched by Jose are welcome to attend.

Further information and updates will be available shortly at Spanish Fly
