When April comes around I have only one thing on the brain, it's time to hit some Tail water for some incredible trout fishing.

 

Nothing like a 5 day hall pass to explore new water, follow the flows and get in as much fishing as humanely possible. It's too early for run off to begin so with a little careful planning, it's time for some trout water that did not include hundreds of other fisherman to make this a little more enjoyable.



 

 

Can you say red stripe delight! I sight fished this beauty for hours before he decided to take a #24 zebra midge. The fight was on, after numerous boulders & obstacles I was able to get him to the net.

Spring Fishing in Wyoming

 

 

When planning a trip to Wyoming there are a few things you look for, good fishing possibly? No wind? Decent weather and small snowfall? Driving Distance?

 

We were lucky enough to have it al on this trip to the Grey Reef on the North Platte River. Easy drive up to Casper, no snow forecasted, no wind forecasted and the most important.....the bite was on!!



 

 

 

Perfect weekend for catching a multitude of Browns, Cutty's and Bows

 

 

             The crowds were out but that didn't stop anyone from having a good time

Yes we had to try our luck at some night fishing, it didn't disappoint us at all.
