Laurel, Mont. --
Exxon Mobil Corp. acknowledged under political pressure Monday that the scope of its oil pipeline leak into the Yellowstone River could extend far beyond a 10-mile stretch of the famed waterway.
As the company intensified its cleanup of tens of thousands of gallons of spilled crude, Exxon Mobil Pipeline Co. President Gary Pruessing pledged to do "whatever is necessary" to find and mop up oil from the 12-inch pipeline that broke at the bottom of the river over the weekend.
I don't think you want to get me stated on this subject, I could truly go off about how screwed up this is and how things are looking much worse in the years to follow. If you think a few instances are just what happens, or "this is just a freak accident", better think again, the realty of what will potentially happen to our watersheds and oceans are mind boggling! More to follow..I just have to take a deep breathe and not go on a tangit.
I already boycott Exxon from the spill years ago, Coors products due to their massive spill into Colorado's Clear Creek, BP from their disaster...who next on my list?
